As God laid the foundations of the earth, the Book of Genesis lays the foundations of our faith. Without these foundations, the whole building of faith would crumble. Every major doctrine that we believe and teach as the Christian church is presented in its earliest forms in the Book . The glory of man is the beauty of man’s spirit, which is fallible and eventually passes away, and is therefore humiliating—as the verse tells us. But the glory of God, which is manifested in all His attributes together, never passes away. It is eternal. Isaiah says that God created us for His glory.
